FINALLY back online....

Wow! It's been a long time since I've posted anything. The one of reasons is that we have been very busy making our house a home but the main reason is that we didn't have the internet yet. We finally got the internet this past Thursday. It's sooo nice not having to tote the kids to the library to get online. Anyways, as you know from our last post, we bought our first home. We moved in the 4th of July weekend. We have been busy making it our home by painting walls (we still have the kitchen, bathroom, hallway and the kids' closets to do....oh well....hopefully they will be done in the next few weeks.) and hanging ceiling fans (because we are blessed to not to have a/c....saves on electricity, right?) and getting things just so. I think our house will be a work in progress for a while....

Dylan had fun helping painting the walls.

Dylan had his last day of kindergarden on July 2nd and he is very excited to start 1st grade in a few weeks.

The first week that we moved into our house, Dylan asked when school will start. He was very disappointed to find out that school didn't start for almost 2 more months. Silly boy, he just got out of school the week before. I'm glad he loves school and I hope that continues for years to come.

Dylan finished up his soccer games before we moved. Here's a few more pictures of our soccer star.

He even made the last goal of the last game at the last minute....it was buzzer beater! I even got it on video!

Malaia had fun watching her brother score all those goals!!!

Unfortunately, we didn't move into our house until the 4th of July weekend....but we had to be out of our apartment on the 30th of June. Luckily, our landlord let us stay the night on the 30th but then we had to stay in a hotel for a few nights because we were having the hardwood floors fixed/redone and we could not be on the floors. I feel bad because Dylan had to stay in a hotel on his last day of school and that meant sleeping on the floor....

Even though life was up in the air, on the 4th of July, we still went to see the hot air balloons and the parade in Provo. We have done this every year since we moved into our little apartment in Provo in 2005. We were hoping to ride our bikes like we did the first year we went, but since we had not unpacked the truck yet....we had to fight the crowds again and drive. Hopefully next year we can ride our bikes.

Well, that's it for now....I have more to update on but its getting late. Have a good night!
