I guess its time to post about our Christmas adventure. About 2-3wks before Christmas, we were on our way to Doug and Lori's place and we needed gas desperately....we were on fumes. Thank goodness there is a gas station right on the outside of our neighborhood. Well, we were so surprised that we filled up for under $20 when the tank was bone dry. That started a conversation how we thought we would never see gas under $2 again. and how much money we would of saved if it was that cheap when we drove to Branson this past summer. and somehow, we talked about how cheap it would be to drive home now. Then Dave said "why don't we drive home for Christmas?" I said "I don't know?" And in a matter of ten seconds, we went from having a quiet Christmas in our apartment to driving thousands of miles to see our families for Christmas. We decided not to tell our families. That was the best part! Seeing their faces when we walked in the door! I think my mom about had a heart attack. Sorry mom! Both mom's said it was probably good thing that they didn't know we were coming because they would of worried the whole time we were traveling. Luckily the weather was mostly good the whole way there and back. It was really really cold though in Des Moines, Iowa. It was 30 degrees below zero. YIKES! We just don't know how anybody lives there. Maybe we were just wimps....but that's cold.

Dylan had been asking for a Nitendo Wii for Christmas. We kept telling him that Santa had a list for Wii's and he didn't get on it early enough. We thought he was going to be sooo disappointed. Luckily, he wasn't because at the Edwards' house they had one and he got to play every day while we were there. He had fun playing by himself, with his cousins, grandparents and us too. Dave and I loved playing guitar hero.....so maybe we might get on Santa's list for Wii's next year!

Malaia keeps us on our toes. At grandma's she learned how to pull up to her knees on things and then with a little encouragement and help she learned how to pull up to standing position. She keeps amazing us everyday!

Sorry there aren't more pictures, especially from Christmas day. The pictures were accidentally erased from our computer. I'm hoping that Grandma Brown still has the copies we gave her. If so, I'll post more pictures later.
