Our exciting past month

This past month has been an exciting month for our family. Our new little sweet pea arrived on June 2nd....a week late. I guess she wanted more of a summer birthday than a spring birthday. Oh well....we were happy that she decided to come join our family! She has been to the doctor quite a bit though. First the doctor wasn't happy with how little weight she was gaining and then she got a high fever last week. We ended up taking her to the hospital. We ended up staying for a couple days and they did all kinds of tests on her. All they could come up with that she had the rhino virus, which is basicly a cold. I'm glad it was nothing serious but it was no fun seeing your newborn with all kinds of things attached to her and getting poked so much. She came home last Friday and is doing well. She is still congested at times but nothing mommy can't take care of. The last fun thing for this month is that my parents and sister and her daughter are here visiting. Its been fun having them around and seeing all the grandkids interactive.

One major accomplishment last night is that she slept in her crib most of the night and I got some sleep! She seems like sleeping in mommy's arms. It doesn't help that I fall asleep while she's nursing. Well last night, I fed her and then I went to bed while Dave and her had some daddy daughter time. She woked up at 3am and I fed her. Then I got her to sleep and put her in her crib about 4am. She didn't wake up until 6am and again I fed her and she fell asleep. So I put her in her crib and she slept until 10am! (mommy did too). It sooo nice to feel well rested. I hope this is start of a good sleeping pattern but I guess time will only tell!
