Due to our (mostly mine) crazy schedules in the evening. We didn't carve the pumpkins until right before trick or treating. But at least it happened at all. We scooped out the guts the night before and then carved the faces the next evening. Since we did them quickly this year they aren't anything too fancy, but we liked them all the same.
