Bridal Veil Falls

Dave was out of town a few weeks ago and I decided we need to get out of the house and do something fun. The kids and the dog were going crazy. I haven't been to Bridal Veil Falls in years, so I thought it would a fun places for the kids to go and get their feet wet. Well, much to my surprise they have re-landscaped, the bottum of the falls. They have built a bridge that acts like a dam and makes part of it a few feet deep. There are still the shallow parts thankfully. So we had fun splashing around in the FREEZING water. The kids and Dakota (our dog) had a blast! (Sorry no pictures from that day....too much to hold on the dog, Malaia and try to take pictures.)

When Dave came back into town, Dylan was excited to tell Dave where we went and he wanted to go back. So on the 6th, we went back and this time dressed the kids in swimsuits this time. We had a picnic first in the park and then we went and played in the water! The kids had lots of fun again! Dylan loved trying to skip the rocks. Malaia had fun throwing the rocks in the water. Some people had brought their dogs (this time Dakota stayed behind) and they were playing fetch with them. Malaia was totally enthralled watching them and she was dying to pet them. One of them finally got close enough for her to pet. She absolutely loves all dogs! That's good and bad b/c she doesn't understand that not all dogs are nice.

One day last school year, we were walking home from Dylan's school and this one house has some not so nice dogs and they came running and barking and growling up to their fence. I had to grab Malaia before she put her hand through the fence. She was "oh puppy"! It didn't even phrase her that they were barking and growling.

Okay back to the Falls. We had so much fun and Dylan was asking when were going back again as we were going home. We definitely recommend going to Bridal Veil Falls for an afternoon fun, especially when you need to cool down. The water is VERY VERY COLD, but I guess that's what happens when it from melting snow!

Hi Carlie!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm glad you liked the dinner rolls! I couldn't find your email address, so I wanted to leave you a message on here. I actually found a knock off recipe for Texas Roadhouse's butter a few years ago. It is a dead ringer and sooooo good!
